Relationship of temperature-crosslinking-time

*Above curve is generated from laboratory data. When apply to module encapsulation, time needed for materials heating must take into consideration. Encapsulate before crosslinking reaction to avoid cell breakage or module warp. Give enough crosslinking time to avoid excess remain of crosslinking agent.

Test methods:

1. Thickness
*Apparatus: on-line capacitance sensor measuring thickness instrument
*No. of test: 1 time/10 secs
*Unit of test: 0.001mm
*Test procedure: automatic round trip scanning
*test condition: 23
±3℃

2. Width
*Apparatus: measuring tape
*No. of test: 1 time/ 1 hour
*Unit of test: 1mm
*Test procedure: measure the width by hand along machine direction
*test condition: 23
±3℃

3.
Length
*Apparatus: automatic counter
*No. of test: 1 time/ 1 roll
*Unit of test: 1m
*Test procedure: automatic count by machine
*test condition: 23
±3℃

4. Shrinkage
*Apparatus: electric vernier calliper
*No. of test: 1 time/ 8 hours
*Unit of test: 1mm
*Test procedure:

    (a) The EVA film cut to 190 x 190 mm specimen
                            (b) The specimen put onto 200 x 200 mm teflon sheet that sprinkle talc
                            (c) Put the specimen into 120±1℃ oven, 5 minutes
                            (d) Measure the change of dimension on transverse and longitude

5. Peel strength

*Apparatus: MTS insight testing machine with 90 degree grip
*No. of test: 1 time/ 8 hours
*Unit of test: N/cm
*Test specimens:
                            (a) 15 x 15 cm AFG solite glass
                            (b) Laminated glass/EVA film/
tedlar back sheet with laminator on conditions as follows.
                                  Temp. 145
, pre-heating 2 min, vacuum 2 min, holding 10 min.
*Test procedure: Specimen for peel test width 25mm, speed of testing: 50mm/min

6. Gel content
*Apparatus: Analytical balance, accurate to 0.0001 g. vacuum oven
*No. of test: 1 time/ 8 hours
*Unit of test: gram
*Test specimens:
                            (a) 7.5 x 7.5 cm teflon sheet
                            (b) Laminated Teflon sheet/EVA film
with laminator on conditions as follows.
                                  Temp. 145
, pre-heating 2 min, vacuum 2 min, holding 10 min.
*Test procedure:
                            (a) Prepare a specimen holder: cutting a pieces of 120 mesh stainless steel cloth.
Fold this into form a 40mm x 40 mm pouch. Weigh this pouch (W1)
                            (b) Place approximately 0.3g of the ground and scrrened cured EVA sample in the
weighed pouch. Weigh the pouch and specimen (W2)
                            (c) Fill a round-bottom flask with 800ml xylene (dissolve 1% of 1010 antioxidant) to
immerse the 120 mesh cage and sample completely
                            (d) Boil the xylene vigorously enough to ensure good agitation of the solution.
Extract the specimen for 5 hr. at 20 to 40 drops/min from the condenser
                            (e) After extraction, place the cage and specimen immediately in a vacuum oven.
                                 Preheat it to 160
. Dry the specimen for 3hrs, cool the specimen in desiccators for 15
                                 min, then weigh (W3)
